ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Dr. Kent Murphy, a retired Head and Neck Surgeon, is an avid explorer and dedicated grandfather. An alumnus of the United States Air Force Academy, he contributed to NASA’s Space Shuttle program during its peak.

His medical journey includes a Doctor of Medicine from the Uniformed Services University and extensive training in General Surgery, Aerospace Medicine, and Otolaryngology at top institutions. Dr. Murphy’s passion for education and mentorship continues as he volunteers with aspiring medical cadets in Colorado Springs, where he resides.

His books, written for his grandchildren Finch and Pondy, aim to inspire and support their future education. His illustrious career and dedication to family and community reflect his lifelong commitment to service and exploration.
